Une vidéoconférence Zoom est branchée sur elle-même, confinée dans un espace clos. L’ici-maintenant est continuellement plié et déplié, livré aux aléas de la connexion internet instable. Des distances s'ouvrent, se révèlent et se referment. Les bruits ambiants sont entraînés dans un effet Larsen aux variations perpétuelles, ponctué de glitchs, d’échos et de résidus fantomatiques d’instants passés. Ils transitent sous l’océan vers un serveur à l'étranger avant d’être réintroduits dans la salle d’exposition quelques millisecondes plus tard, réabsorbés ad infinitum par le Larsen. Quand la pièce est silencieuse, le son du vide est amplifié jusqu’à saturation.

A Zoom videoconference is connected to itself, confined within a closed space. The here-and-now is continuously folded and unfolded, according to the instabilities of the internet network. Distances open, reveal themselves and close again. The ambiant sounds are absorbed into an ever-changing feedback loop punctuated by glitches, echoes and spectral residues of past moments. In a few milliseconds, they transit back and forth under the ocean to a server overseas, reabsorbed ad infinitum by the feedback loop - with delay. When the room is silent, the sound of the void is amplified to saturation.
